A picture of sentimentality...
Adventuress' Heartland
Sentimental days call for sentimental music, and none more so than the soundtrack from Cirque Du Soleil's production of Varekai (a Gypsy term meaning 'wherever' - the story could have occurred anywhere in the world, in any time). The music follows a man (Icarus) who plunges into a forest at the summit of a volcano and encounters a mystical and magical world filled with amazing creatures, experiences from which he rediscovers life and true love.
It's a fabulous fabulous album. I can't stress enough how soothingly beautiful and emotionally evocative the music is. I am like the man who plunges into the forest, a universal wanderer, a nomadic soul in search of the fire of love and life - transported to a wonderful wonderful place. Must Hear!!
